This was my first attempt at exploring something which I found fascinating, and yet the same time, a real threat concerning the implications of today’s far reaching computing technology. With about half a dozen prompts into the refinement of what I set out to explore, it seemed as if I was having a one-on-one conversation with another entity! Whilst the curiosity won the better of me, I shouldn’t admit that GenAI technology is potentially having the capability to disrupt our lives (positively and negatively). I can literally relate to sword art online, or even ghost in the shell. The future of robots is here, as envisaged 25 years ago!

In my mind, I wanted to visualize my childhood growing up days. And, thus, to begin with, I started with a prompt “paint me the scenery of me growing up in my hometown hubbali (hubli) karnataka india“.

With a couple more prompts, DALL-E had created my very first impressions of a technology which is only set to improve in the future. The amount of detailing captured was astounding. Quite the fact that I was reminiscing so many attributes growing up to my teenage years. It seemed as if the entity drawing up these pictures was trying to rationalize contents of the image based on the refining tones set out in the prompt. Midway through, I felt that the entity provided different architectural styles capturing pre-modern era lifestyles.

After a few iterations completed, I got the feel of what its like to use the tool. With clarity of inputs fed into the prompt, the output is surely expected to be interesting.

This is the final version of a setting (not exactly as I imagined) created by OpenAI’s Dall-E.
